Meiko's Computing Surface Interface is a flexible, extensible,configurable, concurrent supercomputer. With a multiprocessordistributed memory architecture, it offers processing power with finegranularity, ranging from 4 MFLOPS to GFLOPS, and a broad spectrum ofmemory-to-processor mix to provide a cost-effective solution to a widerange of tasks. Other application-specific functions, such as highbandwidth I/O, performance 3-D graphics, and disk interface, are alsoavailable. Meiko's Computing Surface Interface works with C, FORTRAN,and many other languages.With the Meiko Computing Surface Interface board and associated software,a workstation system can act as host to any arbitrary-size computingsurface, allowing the surface to be used either by a single user or asthe computational server on a workstation network.
